Club Efemeer originated in 2017 as a collaboration between visual artists Arnaud De Wolf and Maarten Vanermen during their residency at Cas-co in Leuven, Belgium. Since then, they have been creating scenographies for and inspired by the night and, subsequently, installations. These delicate spatial installations are both refined and detailed, using light as a medium assisted by technology.

In addition to their individual and collective practice, Maarten is curator of visual arts at Pilar House for Art & Science, of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Arnaud conducts research into the scenographic and dramaturgical aspects of club culture.
